Contrary to what you’ve read, the rosters for the 2016 Arctic Winter Games are now finalized.
That’s because snowboarding hosted its trials in Yellowknife on Jan. 23.
NWT Boardsport asked for a one-week extension due to staff being unavailable for the second weekend of trials earlier this month and that extension was granted, meaning the trials were held a week later.
Louise Matthews, president of NWT Boardsport, said competitors from Yellowknife, Fort Liard and Fort Smith were set to take part.
Spots in the juvenile and junior divisions were on the line.
